The documentary, directed by Giovanni Piscaglia, traces Perugino’s life and artistic evolution: starting from the years of his artistic education at Verrocchio’s workshop, the documentary goes on with the period of maximum success of his activity in Florence, Rome and Perugia, without neglecting other personalities of excellence in his path, as the colleague Leonardo da Vinci and the prodigious student Raphael.
Thanks to evocative shots and the intervention of art historians and experts, PERUGINO. RINASCIMENTO IMMORTALE highlights the peculiarities and the fundamental role played by Vannucci in the history of Italian Renaissance. A journey through Italy to discover his great masterpieces, from the frescoes of the Sistine Chapel to the two rooms entirely dedicated to him at the Galleria Nazionale dell’Umbria in Perugia.
