“I colori di Perugino”, the coloring book by Francesco Cotana published by Morlacchi is out

In the year of the 500th anniversary of his death, a very original coloring book inspired by colors used by the Master of Città della Pieve in his masterpieces has been published to honor Perugino.

The author is Francesco Cotana, a young PhD Engineer in Representation and History of Architecture and specialized in traditional drawing techniques; the publication is not limited to entertaining the reader through 16 plates taken from paintings and figures of the Master to color, but provides interesting information on techniques, colors and color combinations. The designs are divided by color: Blue, Red, Yellow, Green, White and Black. Each color (or pair of colors, in the case of Black and White) corresponds to two paragraphs in which the artist’s technique and the secrets that are hidden there are illustrated.

Following, the paragraphs “Isocromatismo” and “Chromatic Harmonies of Perugino” illustrate some techniques used by Perugino and other famous artists to arrange colors in their works.

Learn by having fun at any age: the coloring book “I colori di Perugino” (Morlacchi Publisher) is suitable for Perugino specialists and curious from 14 to 99 years.
